Virgin Money Fireworks Concert – Bus Diversions

The Virgin Money Festival Fireworks take place from 2100 this evening in Edinburgh City Centre to mark the end of this year’s Edinburgh International Festival.

To allow this event to take place, there will be road closures in place from 1930 and diversions to our services.

Buses will be unable to serve Regent Road, Waterloo Place and Princes Street from 1930. Between 2200 and 2300, Services X27 and X28 will also be unable to serve Lothian Road and part of West Approach Road.

Diversions will be as follows:

Diversions (1930 until end of service):
Service 43– between Queensferry Streetand St. Andrew Square, buses will be diverted via Charlotte Squareand George Streetin both directions.

Diversions (1930-2200 and 2300 until end of service):
Services X17 X18 X27 X28– from West End, buses will be diverted via South Charlotte Street and George Street in both directions, and will terminate at St. Andrew Square.

Diversions (2200-2300 only):
Service X18-from Haymarket, buses will be diverted via Manor Place, Melville Street, Queensferry Street, Charlotte Square, George Street in both directions, and will terminate at St. Andrew Square.

Services X27 X28– from West Approach Road, buses will be diverted via Morrison Link, Manor Place, Melville Street, Queensferry Street, Charlotte Square, George Street in both directions, and will terminate at St. Andrew Square.

*Please note that bus stops on Queensferry Street (at West End) will be closed from approximately 1930.*
